Danniel Schoonebeek is the author of American Barricade (YesYes Books) and Trébuchet,  a National Poetry Series selection (University of Georgia).  A recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Poetry Foundation, and Akademie Schloss Solitude, his poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, Tin House, and elsewhere.

He worked as the editor of the PEN Poetry Series from 2012-2020, where he published over a thousand original poems and translations. In 2015 he co-founded Bushel, a nonprofit arts collective that hosts year-round exhibitions, readings, film screenings, and events for local organizers. 

He is a co-host of the Northern Spy Readings Series in Catskill, NY, a monthly literary event that hosts poets, writers, and musicians from the Hudson Valley and beyond. From 2012-2016, he organized and hosted Hatchet Job, a poetry series in Brooklyn.

He is the author of several chapbooks, including Three Poems  (Solitude Editions), a dual-language edition translated into German by M. Brown, as well as Family Album (Poor Claudia) and an audiobook, Trench Mouth (Black Cake). His work has been translated into several languages worldwide.
